This past week I have been reading 5 Bucks a day Revisited by Dennis Becker. This e-book centered around the concept of developing small ways to generate 5 dollars a day consistently and duplicating the process each week to grow a consistent income flow. Taking the advise to heart and keeping with my planned site development on my wood shop resource site I came up with the following plan.
- I will develop a new original woodworking project plan each week offering it for sale between $4.95 and $19.95.
- One of the plans will be offered as a free download to my subscriber list in a monthly news letter.
- Back issues of the news letter will be available for download as a PDF file, but the link to the download will be redirected to the shopping cart version. this will encourage subscriber loyalty. Stay active on the list to get the free plans.
This added feature on the site will add a few new complexities. I will need to add e-commerce capability so I can sell the plans online. This will require setting up a paypal account to accept payments, an e-commerce module to handle the sale, in improved user manager to sync user login to the website, iContact subscription to the news letter and login for the e-commerce data.
I have updated the mind map to reflect this change in site structure
