An Affiliate Marketers Journey – Time for a break

I have decided it is time for a break to decompress from information overload.  I am stepping away from internet marketing to finish up some offline projects I have been getting behind on.

I will be back in the action in January focused, refreshed and ready to dive in full force.

I will be focusing on Social marketing by creating writing new posts more frequently and developing new products to help new and established internet marketers expand there online social presence.

It has been a crazy past few weeks, I have been focusing on writing my first WSO product. due to be released late next week. All about using photo contests on Facebook to drive traffic and build lists.
It has been very interesting researching the methods, setting up and testing a fan page (Crazy 4 Cats if you want to take a look) and writing the product.

I have learned a lot from the experience but have a long way to go.

Going to keep the post short this week got to get back to writing the book.

I have made some changes to the website this month, I have added a calendar that will be listing upcoming free training on internet marketing topics.

I have been spending a lot of time on webinar’s and thought this would make for a nice addition.

So I am opening the calendar to my readers, if you are aware of an upcoming free training being presented and would like to add to the calender please fell free to post the details.

to include an event click on the Webinar Calendar menu and click on add event. I reserve the rite to delete any event I find inappropriate or in conflict with events I have scheduled.  I have also added a posts section to add additional details and to open dialog about an event.

An Affiliate Marketers Journey – Mini Net Case Study

It’s hard to believe it has been over a month since my last post. I have been hyper focused on getting my first eBook written and ready for release. I’m almost there and should have it ready by the end of the week. As soon as it is ready I will post a link here.

I have also been working on a new site about iPad movie downloading. I am promoting an affiliate product that offers thousands of movie, music and game titles for download and optional loading to a smart phone or tablet PC. The product has a lot of potential. and the Niche has a large market.

I started this site from the ground up as a case study as a followup to my eBook on setting up a mini net on Posterous, I will be using the processes I cover in my book  and monitor my progress in the search engine rankings.

Mastermind Groups – An Effective Learning Tool

Mastermind GroupI have been working with a Mastermind Group for the past two weeks called The Syndicate this group was formed by Ben Atkins an active Warrior forum member and WSO Publisher. Ben has been guiding the group through the steps to creating and publishing our first WSO product.

I decided to write a users guide on how to use Posterous to create and manage a Mini Net. This eBook will include instructions on setting up a network of blogs, social bookmarking and posts to social networks to boost back link count and increase search engine ranking. I will be following up this eBook with a case study on how I used this method to drive traffic to a new affiliate offer page over a 90 day period.

I have been gearing up for the upcoming launch of Ed dale’s 2011 Challenge scheduled for Sept 1st. I decided to start a local mastermind group with fellow challengers. The goal of this group will be to keep each other accountable to the challenge tasks and brain storm ideas or solutions to problems as that come up. I we will be meeting once a week on Skype (My Skype ID turrentllc) to discuss the previous weeks tasks and set goals for the following week.

An Affiliate Marketers Journey-Weeks 8 and 9

It has been a busy few weeks,

Getting my first issue if the Wood Shop Resource news letter out took a lot longer then expected but it has been published. I have also been testing the Ping Kaching software their latest beta has been released this version added the ability to set up unique accounts for each campaign. This allows more targeted social reach. I have not seen any marked improvement in the page backlinks yet but will keep at it for a few more weeks to see if thinks improve.

I have been watching the JV offerings on jvNotiftpro and new posts on the warrior forum  the buzz work of the month seems to be Facebook marketing. I have not been on Facebook as often as I should but I think this trend is worth watching, If the hype is correct this is defiantly something to add to current marketing.

My last thought of the week is the upcoming release of the Challenge 2011 scheduled for Sept 1st This is Ed dales 30 day free training  on internet marketing.  Last years challenge was very well presented and I look forward to seeing what ed and his team have come up with this year.

Back from vacation and diving back into my SEO education

My family and I had a great time catching up and hanging out. My brother and I got into a discussion on SEO and web site promotion and he asked if I would do some SEO for his site on  Vintage Pin Up Girls (Here is some link love Bro)

based on the SEO research I have completed so far all things point to back linking to boost ranking.

It is a lot of work to get this working correctly. So when over worked automate. I was introduced to a software called traffic bug when I was working thru Ed Dale’s  30 day Challenge. I found it very cumbersome to use and was not able to see any use for the program, so I left it out of my routine. The creator of Traffic Bug has come out with a revised version called Pink Kaching that is more in tune with current SEO methods and is a lot easier to use so I have been spending time learning to configure the software and will be using it this week to promote my new posts and my brothers site.  We will need to see if this helps drive new traffic to our sites.

On the wood shop resource front I have completed the template for the monthly news letter and will be publishing the first issue on Aug 1st.

An Affiliate Marketers Journey-Week 5

This week has gone by so quickly,I feel like I got nothing done.

But looking back it was a productive week even if I have nothing real tangible to show for my time.

I was focused on the setup on my online store mentioned in last weeks post and decided to go with the WP e-commerce plugin from Instinct Entertainment. there were several packages to choose from but this one had the ability to download project plans (at no additional cost), and also link to products from affiliates directly in the storefront, I big plus from my point of view.

I am also half way thru writing my first project plan, a series of key chains depicting the 12 signs on the zodiac.

I have also created the template for my newsletter and researched Social SEO

So I got a lot started this week but not completed guess that is why I feel like I got nothing done.

I will be on vacation next week flying out to California for a family reunion, so I will not have a chance to get a lot done this coming week.

 

My journey continues and I will make this work if it takes all year
